CoolHMI is economic and limited version of SCADA system developed for InteliSys, InteliGen, InteliMains and other controllers manufactured by ComAp, and Symap® controllers manufactured by Stucke Elektronik GmbH. CoolHMI is centralized unit for process control and monitoring. It allows simultaneous connection up to 8 ComAp or Symap® controllers at the same time. CoolHMI contains all essential functions and features for process control and supervision. It also allows integration of 3rd party systems like PLC into system. Panel hardware is available in four sizes: CoolHMI-19" - CoolHMI-15" - CoolHMI-12" - CoolHMI-10". There is also support for InteliVision 17Touch and InteliVision 18Touch hardware.
Connection topology
CoolHMI stationcan be connected to physical layers like RS485, RS422, RS232 and Ethernet. In pictures below are examples of possible communication options.
RS485 basic configuration
PC station is communicating with remote network nodes via RS485 multi-drop topology. Software layer is running Modbus RTU protocol. For detailed info about Modbus RTU please refer to datasheer of particular controller.
RS485 extended configuration
PC station is communicating with remote network nodes via RS485 multi-drop topology. Additional RS23 or RS485 or Ethernet TCP/IP connection to additional PLC/Alarm system could be made. ETHERNET basic configuration
